After sleeping through breakfast we woke up starving and headed off to find a traditional American movie style Diner. The first thing that hit us when we left the apartment was the cold. A sharp icy wind that feels like its coming from inside your skull and bones creeping through your blood, escaping through forced pin holes in your skin. It did not matter what you wear, the ice wind was coming from underneath your clothes. Maybe that means its gonna snow? or judgement day is coming...?
We ended up eating at 'Flame' which is a 24h Diner. Its got the booths and tables just like the movies and the waiter comes around with a pot of coffee for refills just like the movies. What you dont see in the movies, however, is the burnt leather smell which makes the place feel like a homeless soup kitchen...where someone is burning the beards off all the Hobos. The menu was about 50 pages long, luckily i took my bookmark with me, ill finish the reading rest of the menu when we go back. The food was pretty good though, big hearty food, decent flavour. chicken was really nice and the fries were awesome.
Than we went to the Time Warner Centre which is a big shopping complex with really expensive outlets like Hugo Boss and Armani Exchange. We spent most of our time shopping in a little more modestly priced 'J Crew'. Lets clarify the myth right now for all the hopers and believers. the shopping is really excellent- the clothes are AMAZING quality (trust me we do NOT sell jumpers or coats in sydney) and the designs are so neat and classy with enough flare to stand out without proclaiming you wander streets in Newtown. But they are not super cheap. Things are probably around the same price as in sydney but double and triple the quality.
AHHH THATS SOO AWSOMEE!!!
